We at Hawden & Burgess Family Funeral Directors strive to provide you with a professional quality service, a service that is tailored to your needs and wishes as well as that of your loved one whose special day it is. We will work with you to ensure that there are no hidden surprises, nothing that you do not want will be added to your account without your prior knowledge or without your consent which is why we are honest up front and open with our advice, pricing, and charges. At Hawden & Burgess Family Funeral Directors we look upon your family as an extension of our family so with that in mind we always make sure that we give a professional caring service 24/7. We always try to make sure that we are attentive to your requirements, accommodate your needs as much as possible ensuring that our attention to detail is in keeping with your wishes as we understand that a funeral can very well be both a stressful as well as a highly emotionally charged time, we strive to make it as perfect as we can throughout the whole process.

FUNERAL DIRECTORS COSTS

£880.00

Set Charge that covers all arrangement of the funeral in our arranging office on site, this includes administration, 24 Hour Service, Funeral Director, X3 Bearers (to carry into the Chapel) and X1 Driver/Bearer (Hearse Driver).

Collection of your loved one, 24 hours a day using company owned private ambulance, from their home, hospital, nursing home or care home within a 20-mile radius of our premises normal business hours Monday - Friday 09.00 - 17.00.

If your loved one needs to be collected outside of business hours 17.00 - 09.00 a further charge is applied.

COFFIN

Our standard Edward coffin, a simulated veneered coffin fitted with four standard handles, an engraved plate of inscription finished off with an inside set and ruffles inside the coffin.

 

USE OF PRIVATE CHAPEL OF REST

Use of our private Chapel of Rest during business hours.

Use of our Private Chapel of Rest outside of business hours.

Use of our Private Chapel of Rest weekends/Bank Holidays.

HYGENIC TREATMENT/DRESSING

The preparation of your loved one using chemical hygienic treatment, dressing your loved one in their own personal clothing.

HEARSE

The Edward Package is Hearse only, this is direct from our premises to either Thames View Crematorium, Medway Crematorium, or burial ground within Medway.

LIMOUSINE PER VEHICLE 

Any limousine to follow the hearse per vehicle. This will be an extra added cost on top of the Funeral Directors costs as this does not form part of The Edward Funeral package.

DISBURSEMENTS

As well as the cost of 'The Edward funeral package' you must also add disbursement fees, these include Crematorium/Church fees,(burial fees are extra and will be quoted on day of arrangement), Minister/Celebrant fees, Doctors fees for completion of official cremation paperwork. This currently stands at approximately.

APPROXIMATE TOTAL COST

The cost of 'The Edward' cremation package taking the Funeral Directors Costs and adding together the Disbursement fees.

£3,206.00

*The figures may well change if it is a burial, or if any extras are added by the family at point of arrangement, plus figures are subject to an annual rise which is outside of our control, but our families will always be informed of this every step of the way.

We do not ask for any payment in advance unless that is your wish to do so as we understand that there are financial obligations upon losing a loved one, bank accounts, pensions possibly probate etc. We normally dispatch the account 14 days after the service and ask that payment is cleared funds 30 days after the service date. 

Please do not hesitate in contacting either Steve or Jackie our office manager where we will be more than happy to work with you to assist you with any questions you might have, in order that if you choose to use our professional services in looking after your loved one, you are completely satisfied with the quote that you will be given by us is fair and accurate. But please do not feel obligated to use us feel free to obtain quotes from other Funeral Directors as well to be sure that you are getting the right package for you.
